Is ECN the same as STP or 'no dealing desk'?

STP (Straight-Through Processing) and ECN are two ways of routing orders to liquidity providers; ECN specifically matches orders within a network and shows market depth. In practice, raw-spread MT4 accounts marketed as 'ECN' or 'Raw' offer similar conditions.
